Shawn Melton, CF, CNBF, CLS, CE, CI, AFA-CF

Shawn has been shoeing since 1993.  He has been fortunate to study with a variety of excellent veterinarians over the years, working on a multitude of lameness cases and a wide variety of performance horses in diverse disciplines.  Feeling drawn to lameness cases, Shawn has developed a reputation for being known as the “McGuyver” of horse shoeing as he has a talent for using whatever is necessary to help the horse no matter how unusual or complex in construction.  Shawn believes it is his duty to advocate for the horse on a daily basis. Shawn has spent time in his younger years professionally on the rodeo circuit doing Team Roping, and now currently enjoys riding with his wife and daughters.
