  Chris Wiggins, CNBF, CLS, CE/CI, AWCF Hons., is a farrier that works and lives in the south-east of England and has been shoeing horses since 1993. Chris is a holder of the associates of the worshipful company of farriers certification, with honors. He has been a member of the Equine Lameness Prevention Organization and on the board of directors for a number of years. In his daily practice he works on many different types of horses and especially enjoys working on remedial cases.
  Shawn Melton, CF, CNBF, CLS, CE/CI, has been shoeing since 1993.  He has been fortunate to study with a variety of excellent veterinarians over the years, working on a multitude of lameness cases and a wide variety of performance horses in diverse disciplines.  Feeling drawn to lameness cases, Shawn has developed a reputation for being known as the “McGuyver” of horse shoeing as he has a talent for using whatever is necessary to help the horse no matter how unusual or complex in construction.  Shawn believes it is his duty to advocate for the horse on a daily basis. Shawn has spent time in his younger years professionally on the rodeo circuit doing Team Roping, and now currently enjoys riding with his wife and daughters.  
  Nell Foxworth is a dressage trainer in Boulder, Colorado. She has competed in dressage for 23 years, and has earned her USDF Bronze, Silver, and Gold medals and has been a professional for 13 years.  Her philosophy for teaching and training involves listening to the horses and continuing to think creatively to help people and horses learn the sport of dressage.  Nell began serving on the board of the ELPO in 2011.  She is passionate about the organization because of it's similar outlook on helping horses, as well as having many experiences of dressage horses benefiting remarkably from the application of E.L.P.O. principles.  Nell and Steve also have 2 kids that keep things entertaining!

Matt Staples DWCF, LSHMC, CNBBT, CNBF, CLS, CE, was introduced to horses by his mother at the age of 5.  This sparked a life long  passion for horses and he rode almost everyday throughout his childhood. This interest lead into Matt's career.  Following a 5 year apprenticeship that ended in 1996, Matt earned his diploma with the worshipful company of farriers and set up his own business in West Sussex, England. Matthew, has since continued his training and become a member of the Equine Lameness Prevention Organization, Through this group, Matthew earned a number of additional qualifications. The first int he foundation of live sole hoof mapping.  With the growing interest in equines going barefoot, Matthew also became a Certified Barefoot Trimmer, as well as a Certified Farrier Practitioner. In 2011 Matthew took this a step further to become a Certified Lameness Specialist. Holding a particular interest in equines who have been compromised by hoof imbalances and suffer from soft tissue injury or common degenerative diseases of the equine limb, he continually is referred by veterinarians to support these clients and their human partners.  In 2013 Matt was invited to join the board of directors and has since helped run a number of clinics, develop educational events and certifications in the U.K. Most recently, Matthew achieved his Level 5 promotion becoming a Certified Examiner for the E.L.P.O.  In his spare time Matt enjoys spending time with his two sons, Jack and Scott and hobbies include snowboarding and wake boarding.


Jake Anderson, CNBF, CLS, CE/CI has been an E.L.P.O. Member since 2009 and served as E.L.P.O. Vice President from 2012 – 2014.  He currently owns and runs Anderson Farrier Service in Belleville, Wisconsin. His focus is higher level performance horses, lameness, and rehabilitation. His mission for his business is to stay committed to continuing education with the intent to help horses, educate clients, and continuously improve his knowledge base and skill level. When he is not focused on his business and education he spends his time with his wife and their son.
